Lately, Mini Me has been obsessed with the adult coloring books.  He keeps stealing my coloring book and I have to fight him for a turn.

Fortunately, I finally found an App for my phone that has the adult coloring books so we don't have to fight anymore.  It's called Colorfy and has lots of pictures with the intricate details of the adult coloring book pages we love.

I was worried that he wouldn't like coloring on my phone as much as he does in person, but I guess I didn't need to.  He loves it and now steals my phone whenever we are in the car driving somewhere for a quick color page.  And the app does allow you to color pretty fast compared to the hard copy of the color pages.

So I've ended up with a ton of these pretty cute and awesome pictures he's colored on my phone.  I decided to turn them into note cards so he would be able to share the pictures and write letters to his grandparents and brother and sister at the same time.  It's a win-win for both of us.

If you are interested in the adult color books, definitely go check out the Colorfy app.  (No sponsored post here, I just love the app.)  Then, when you have a bunch of colored pages, come back and check out this easy DIY on how to turn those pages into note cards.

Colorfy Picture Note Cards

Start by opening the app.  You'll see all the different styles of pictures that you can color.

If you haven't colored any yet, go ahead and color away.

If you have make sure you save them, and then visit the "flower" at the bottom of the page that reads "My Works".

Click on the link and you'll see all the pages that have been colored.

Be sure to find your favorite, and then click "Share".  You'll have several different ways to share your pictures.  I chose to email the picture to myself so it would be on my desk top.

Save your Adult Coloring Pictures

Once you receive the email in your inbox, open it up and right click on the picture.  A "Save" box will appear.  Make sure you know where you want to save it and what you want to name your picture so you can find it again.  Save the coloring page.

Print Your DIY Notecards

Open up the file you saved your coloring page to.  Right click on the picture and click "Print".  Several options will pop up on the right side of the print file.  I found it was best to use the 4x6 option.  Click on that and then make sure to print one copy and that the "Fit Picture to Page" box is checked.

If you want to fit two pictures on one page, print one coloring page and then flip the paper around 180 degrees and repeat the process to print another note card.  This will have one picture on the front and another on the back, but they won't be overlapping so you can get two pictures from one piece of card stock

Using the lines that print, cut out the edges of your coloring page and then a little below the picture (you'll see what I mean when it prints.)  Fold each picture in half and you have a DIY note card that is unique and amazing because your child drew it!

Now, your child can share his or her picture with Grandma and you can teach them the wonderful art of ACTUAL note writing.
